“Tell me what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
Mary Oliver, winner of the National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize for Poetry knew what she was talking about. We are all conditioned by the social world to operate our lives with a dysfunctional ego; a fear of being ignored or scorned, of humiliation, criticism and judgment and we’re left with an uneasy take-it-too-personally self-consciousness. We don’t see it happening to us and we may not know we’re doing it.
As such, too often the life we imagined or hoped for seems somehow out of our reach or too shallow. And as we search for an authentic version of ourselves, we don’t realize the problem lies in our dysfunctional ego.
I can help if your goals include:
· commanding your ego,
· speaking and revealing your authenticity,
· re-presenting yourself (to yourself and others),
· living a life of your own design,
· being an agent of change.
Gentle sea breezes, palm trees, warm sunshine, stunning views, delicious and healthy food. You’ll also enjoy powerful conversation and the space to relax, engage, contemplate, plan and importantly, to transcend the anxiety that is counterproductive to your goals and commitments!
Lastly, from Mary Oliver. . .
“Listen—are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?”
